About me
I am John Squyres, the founder of Momentum equine coaching.
I know what it feels like to be stuck in the dark. For years, my life was defined by a battle I was losing to alcohol addiction. The noise and chaos felt impossible to break until I found my lifeline in an unexpected place: the round pen.
Horses don't care about your past, your mistakes, or your resume. Because they are highly intuitive prey animals, they only care about the energy you bring to them in the present moment. To earn their trust, I had to get sober, find my center, and show up with absolute honesty. Earning their trust taught me how to trust myself again, and that connection ultimately saved my life.
